Dr. Biraj Patel is an American-trained, board-certified Endodontist with a reputation for clinical excellence and academic distinction. He obtained his dental degree (BDS) from the University of Birmingham (UK), where he later served as a Specialty Dentist in Restorative Dentistry at the Birmingham Dental Hospital and University of Birmingham.

Driven by a passion for endodontics, Dr. Patel was selected from over 250 international applicants for specialist training at the world-renowned University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), USA. There, he completed his Certificate in Endodontics and a Master’s degree (MS), training under globally recognized leaders in the field. Following residency, Dr Patel practiced in advanced endodontic centres across the United States before returning to the UK to join the prestigious Harley Street Centre for Endodontics in London. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics (ABE)—a distinction held by fewer than 25% of U.S. endodontists. This title reflects the highest level of clinical and academic achievement, awarded after a rigorous, multi-year certification process assessing diagnostic acumen, clinical proficiency, and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Dr. Patel has lectured internationally and earned accolades for his research, including awards at the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) annual meetings. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Endodontics. In addition to private practice, Dr Patel contributes to the advancement of the specialty through teaching and research. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at UTHSCSA, trains postgraduate residents, and is a reviewer for multiple scientific journals, including the Journal of Endodontics, where he is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board.
